Privane AI is built from the ground up around a simple promise: your data stays on your computer.
100% On-Device Execution Guarantee: When you use Privane AI tools, your prompts, documents, chat histories, and generated answers are processed entirely within your device's browser using WebGPU and WebAssembly. No conversation text or local files are ever transmitted to Privane servers or third-party cloud AI vendors.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
Because Privane operates as a local computational companion, we do not monitor or harvest your daily activities. Specifically:
- No Chat Content or Prompts: Your messages, questions, uploaded PDFs, meeting notes, and AI responses remain strictly on your machine.
- No AI Model Telemetry: We do not log prompt tokens, response text, or local model outputs.
- No Proprietary Document Storage: Files you drop into local mini-AIs or chat tools are analyzed in-memory or stored in your browser's local cache.
2. Information We Handle (Account & Sign-In)
To provide access control, subscription plan management, and optional account synchronization across devices, we collect minimal account details when you sign up or sign in:
- Account Credentials: Basic registration information (such as your email address and name) managed securely via our authentication infrastructure (Clerk).
- Billing Details: Payment processing details are managed by secure PCI-compliant payment gateways. Privane does not store raw credit card numbers on our servers.
- Authentication Cookies: Essential session tokens stored in your browser to maintain your active login status.
3. How Local Storage & Model Caching Work
Privane utilizes standard browser-native storage technologies (IndexedDB, LocalStorage, and CacheStorage) to store downloaded neural model weights and your personal conversation histories locally on your hardware.
You retain full control over your local data. You can erase your chat history or delete cached AI models at any time directly through Privane's application settings or by clearing your browser's site data.
4. Optional Web Search & Research Features
Privane includes optional web search and deep research capabilities. When you explicitly enable these features:
- Search queries are initiated directly from your client machine to fetch real-time public web information.
- Fetched web page text is summarized locally by your on-device AI.
- We do not build advertising profiles or sell search query logs to data brokers.
5. Data Security & Compliance Alignment
By keeping data localized, Privane eliminates cloud data leak vectors. Our architecture inherently aligns with stringent international data protection standards, including GDPR, HIPAA, and CCPA guidelines for local data containment and sovereignty.
